Conceptronic CBRIDGE20 Data copy and network cable

Has anyone tried installing a USB "Conceptronic CBRIDGE20 Data copy and network cable" in Linux?

Not hoping for much as Conceptronic only provide drivers for MS products.

The chip is an ALi M5632. Is it supported in kernel 2.6.x?

Some answers to this old question?

It seems it should establish a network device or something as usb0, which could be configured as any other NIC (as says a document whose URL this forum system doesn't allow me to post).

In my case, when I plug it, it appears in "dmesg" as follows:
Code:

usb 6-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2
usb0: register 'cdc_subset' at usb-0000:00:09.3-6, ALi M5632, 7a:5c:02:9e:ff:f3
usbcore: registered new driver cdc_subset

Unfortunately, it doesn't make appear any USB networks using "ifconfig".

Any help?
