The Dsl is shared among all of them.
All of them are windows 2000 except one server which is win xp.
They share a dsl connection.
My suse 9.1 (personal) laptop accesses the lan alright but doesn't go to net! It doesn't access the shared Dsl connection.
Hi
I can't be sure what the problem is with the information available, but it could be that you have
either not set the default gateway or DNS quite right. Are you using DHCP or setting the IP address manually?
If you can ping 216.239.57.99 (google.com), it might suggest that the DNS is incorrect, if not, it points more towards you not having the gateway setup correctly.
You can add the default gateway by typing: route add default gw 192.168.1.x ethx, where
ethx is your ethernet card, and 192.168.1.x is your default gateway(your routers IP address i guess)
Well, if you can't use DHCP, you are going to have to enter the default gateway and dns servers manually. Write down the default gateway and dns IP addresses - you should be able to get them by typing: ipconfig /all at the command prompt on one of you Windows machines.
Then, fill in the relevant fields for your network card in YAST. The DNS addesses go under 'Host name and Name Servers' and the default gateway goes under Routing.
