Question Communication between ssh and a tty

Hello
Sorry about the unclear topic.
My question is:
My friend has a linux server which I have a ssh login to.
The machine has no X.

What is the best way to communicate between my ssh login and his root tty login?
I tried wall, but I'm looking for a better alternative

Thanks!

Paul

Okey, let's see if I understand you correctly.
You want to log in to your friends server. You want to do it over the console (tty)

Simple:
Just use ssh [username]@[servername goes here]
and you are in business. If you omit username and @, then ssh will try to log you on with the user you are currently local logged in.

I hope I understood your question, other just ask.

Cheers

Markus

I sorry, it was very unclear!
He sits on a tty, console login.
I have a ssh connection to him.
And I want to communicate with him, that is to send him a message so that it pops up at his screen.

A program to send a message to the user root on tty1 or something

Hope this is more clear.
