Combining multiple NICs to one virtual NIC
Just out of curiosity: Is it possible to "combine" multiple NICs to one virtual NIC with only one IP address?
I got this lovely new machine here, which has two nice onboard 1GBit network adapters. The thing is, the machine only really needs one but since the box is going to be a bit of a "Jack of all trades" (Mail, PDC, LDAP etc), it could be quite handy to use the extra bandwidth of the 2nd NIC.
Of course, I could juggle a bit using DNS in order to direct traffic to a certain IP, but the other way sounds "cleaner" to me. I know, that the switch the box is connected to would need to be able to combine ports as well but IIRC, switches like the old i530 can do this.
