Clark Connect, OpenVPN or what?

I've been asked to look into VPN for a small company windows network after the owner was given what looks like a hefty quote from a company which looked a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, anyway I;ve been looking at clark connect 2.2 firewall/vpn anyone used it and have any thoughts on it and how it gets along in a win2k domain? Also looked at windows version of openVPN, anyone used this in a small business environment? Any opionions would be appreciated as VPN ain't my strong point

cheers.
