Cisco VPN client

Hello -

I'm trying to install Cisco VPN dialer 3.1 on a Redhat 8.0 system. When the install script gets to the point where it asks
Directory containing linux kernel source code []
it blows up.
I installed the source code from the source code disk 1 with the following line..
rpm -Uvh kernel-2.4.18-14.src.rpm
It installed in directory /usr/redhat/SOURCES.
Although I enter that location for the source code the installer keeps telling me
Directory "/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES" doesn't appear to contain kernel source.
Any ideas?

The vpn_install script looks for $sourcedir/include/linux/modversions.h
I have that in /usr but if I use /usr as the source the script blows up later on.
