Cisco Anyconnect 2.5.2019

I am having an issue with Cisco Anyconnect 2.5.2019 and being able to ping the local ip address that is assigned to the interface on the hostmachine. So I can ping my localhost address of 192.168.1.5 but not the VNP assigned address of 10.160.1.7 that is assigned to the interface when I connect to the VPN in this network. Once I disconnect from the VPN I can then ping my localhost (192.168.1.5) perfectly fine. The issue with not being able to ping the localhost is that I use a security application that launches itself from the browser and uses that locally assigned address of the interface. So it when it is launched it would be something like:

http://192.168.1.5/security/cgi-bin

But when it is launched when connected to the VPN it cannot execute until it disconnects from the VPN. Any suggestions?

I have resolved the issue. I had to tell the application to use the loopback address and then it worked like a champ.

127.0.0.1

or

localhost
