cifs uid mapping.

Sigh!

CIFS server is run by a seperate group.

They have a bunch of username and passwords.

We have a bunch of username and passwords.

Different computers, different usernames, same persons.

Now I want to mount the servers disk on my linux box via cifs.

But I want the username to correspond to the usernames on my box.
When I try, it ignores the uid= gid= options and uses totally irrelavent uid to username and gid group name mappings.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Hokay, sort of fixed it. The names are still screwy but I can still use it. Just add "noperm" to the mount options.
