I just want to thank everyone who helps in linuxquestions.org. It's helped me out in many different ways.
What my problem is.
I have Cox cable modem and they block port 25 both ways. Plus they block port 80 going out.
I'm trying to get a web server up and running with out the cost of a business account. I need to have port 25 running too for my SMTP mail server on the same machine.
What I want to do is configure Apache 2.2 to receive HTTP on port 80 and it is by default. I need it to send out my HTTP on a different port like 81 or 8080 to someone who is at my URL
www.spucke.com. I don't want to put
www.spucke.com:80 or
www.spucke.com:8080 that looks bad for advertisement on my URL.
I was thinking about using
www.tzo.com for a static IP since I have DHCP from Cox.
I might be wrong about something here let me know please. Maybe you know a better way or can help me a little about how to configure Apache to get around my problem.
Is
www.tzo.com a good way to get a public static IP or does anyone know of a free service?
If I forgot something just let me know.
Any help would be great. I'm willing to link exchange URL's for Google promotion and/or web traffic if you know what I mean.
