changing MAC adr. with script - suse9.2

hi

I have to change my MAC address on my laptop in order to establish an internet connection (it's locked to a special MAC and I have two PC's)

I did this typing ifconfig...., but that just takes a lot of time and therefore I wanted to do this with a script - I just don't know how and I don't wanna mess up my startup routine

can anyone tell me how to write such a script (yes, I'm a newbie, so please use easy words)

System: Suse 9.2 pro

appreciate your help

In my Debian system I would put it into /etc/network/interfaces file. And 'man interfaces' has plenty of information how to do this.
The file location may vary depending on distro.
