changing IP configuration

Hello everybody.

I just installed a copy of Solaris and I need to change IP configuration. More specifically, I have default router set as "autodetect" but I need to change it to a specific IP address. I realize that it's Solaris, but I believe that I need to use a terminal (there's no GUI for that) so it should be more or less universal accross all UNIX/Linux platforms. I appreciate any help.
