Change welcome message for Proftpd
 

Just wondering how to change the welcome message for Proftpd or where it is located at? Or do I just create a new one with the .msg and from webadmin direct it to my new message?

i could never get any welcome message to work in proftpd. if you find out how to do it, please post back. :cool:

welcome.msg is only used for display login
what you want to change is the serverIdent statement
In /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf add the line
ServerIdent on "the text you want to display"
