change hostname

can anyone please tell me howto change the hostname in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1
or change it from /etc/hosts
the reason I want to change the hostname is because everytime I try to print a webpage or a paper from openoffice; the computer display a message saying bad hostname

use the "hostname" command.
