Can't write to a shared folder from Windows XP machine

I've done it plenty, and I'm 100% certain that I've allowed all users to view, read, AND write to the partition, I can't modify it via my XP machine. I don't get what's wrong this time.

I assume your using Samba on your linux server?
What is the error message or problem that occurs when you try to write to the shared folder?

You can also check if you have permission from Windows by simply right clicking on the folder and going to the security tab.

Also is this a top level folder ie \\linuxbox\share or is it one subfolder of a share ( \\linuxbox\share\path\to\folder\ )
