cant connect (error code 2)

Im having trouble trying to connect to broadband after configuring my speedtouch 330 modem. Everything seemed to be fine until I tried to connect but the modem log states that there's a pppd options error (exit code 2) I'm going round in circles trying to sort it out (I'm a complete newbie with linux) I'm using Suse 9.2 pro by the way. Can anyone point me in the right directions please ?
Thanks
