Can't access router from XP workstation on Linux server

Hello,

My XP machine connects to the internet thru the linux box. It works just fine accept the fact that i can't connect to the router setup page (192.168.1.1) and instead get the following message:

Quote:

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://192.168.1.1/

The following error was encountered:

I figured it is something to do with SQUID settings but I don't know what to setup there.

I found a solution to this problem so I realize it's not a very secure way to handle that.

in /etc/squid/squid.conf I edited the appropriate line to be the following:

Code:

http_access allow all
I am sure there is a better, more secure, solution but that's I came up so far
