Cannot access all files on windows share

Hi, I have 2 winxp machines and 1 running Mepis Linux. I have all attached to a router. I have set the Linux box up to print through an Xp machine and can also see the other shared drives and folders on the xp machines. The problem I have is I can only see a few of the folders and files on all of those drives. There is probably 500 folders on the one drive and I only see about 17 of them. I would appreciate a point in the right direction or some help on this. Thank You

Did you check if all the files/folder have the required permissions ? I think it's to do with the file permissions.

I have noticed that I cannot see folders with spaces in the names, but when I type it manually, I can access them.
