Can't connect to the internet now (windows related)

I know this is a linux forum but i have a dual boot setup and am having problems connecting to the net now in both linux and windows98se. I was playing counter strike in windows and then got a "Connection problem' and haven't been able to connect to the internet since. I typed ipconfig and have some odd IP in there that i have never seen before. Heres what it say.

0 Ethernet Adapter:
Ip address...0.0.0.0
Subnet mask... 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway......

1 Ethernet Adapter:
IP address 169.254.105.139
Subnet mask 255.255.0.0
DefaultGateway....

I only have one NIC so shouldn't it be using Ethernet 0? That IP seems pretty suspicious since i have no clue why it is there. I have also tried disabling my firewall which had no effect. I ran ethereal and am getting broadcast packets from the other 2 PCs on my LAN. I have tried pinging some hosts but it instantly says "Destination unreachable" 4 times as soon as i hit enter.

Any help is appriciated.

Your TCP/IP protocol in the network configuration has been configured to receive an IP adress from a DHCP server.
The server is for some reason not reachable - thats why you get the 169.254.xxx.xxx IP adress.

Are all 3 computers connected to the Internet? If yes, through what?
What are the IP adresses on the other computers?

hmm so i guess my lease ran out while i was playing CS... I don't know why its unreachable just for me, the other PC's are set to using DHCP and can connect to the internet just fine through the linksys 4 port fast ethernet cable/dsl router. 192.168.1.100-102 are our three IP's. I just manually set my PC to use 100 which is unused and set the subnet mask and default gateway to the same as the other computers and still can't even ping the router (192.168.1.1). Now that i have set the TCP/IP info when i ping something it actually tries before saying destination unreachable though...

well i unplugged the router and was able to connect to the net except DNS wasn't working until i went to Network/TCPIP/Properties/DNS Configuration/Enable DNS and added a hostname and my ISP's DNS servers. Is there another way to be able to use my ISP's DNS servers without doing this?
