Can't share Linux folders--why not?
Here's something else odd that's happened since I switched to SUSE 10. I can't set the folders on my Linux machine to let me share them with my Windows machine. I have no idea why not. Sharing used to work; now it doesn't. I go to the folder, click "shared" and then hit OK. But it doesn't work. And when I go back to the folder, it's set to "not shared," as if I'd never changed the settings. Anybody know what to do? Thanks.

is samba installed and setup correctly for your workgroup? sometimes it is easier to edit the smb.conf file yourself than to let a gui do it for you
