Can't see Windows computers in Fluxbox

I have a computer on a LAN with a lot of WinXP Pro computers and I would like to access the shared files on those computers. I use Fluxbox which doesn't have a Network Neighborhood like Gnome. I would like to know how I can gain access to them while in Flux. There is a password required so I will need to be able to enter that too.
I appreciate any help.

just use the standard samba tools, smbclient, smbmount etc... or just plain load the gnome program. just because it's for gnome doesn't mean you can't run it outside of gnome.

How would I go about starting the gnome program in flux? I think it's using the samba tools since it uses smb:\\.
Will this also make the linux box visible to the WinXP machines?
Thanks for the help! I'll research samba some...I tried smbclient but wasn't able to make it work. I must be doing something wrong. Do you know if Slackware would install the entire needed package or would I have to download something?
Thanks again.

**EDIT: just found out that Samba's password encryption isn't compatible with XP...I'll have to do some registry edits in XP to have a chance at getting it to work. Still, any info is appreciated!
