Question Can't ping windows computer

I use Debian while the other computer on the LAN is with windows xp.
Their settings are as:

Debian: IP: 192.168.1.14
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Windows XP: IP: 192.168.1.20
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

The problem is that I can't ping the Windows XP computer from Debian.
Any solution?
