Can't locate module snd-intel8x0, no sound

I'm running slackware 9.1, kernel 2.4.22 (default). After I'd updated my sound drivers from alsa-project (1.0.4 driver, lib, uti, oss), I've got the error message eachtime I start X.
#pkgtool can view 4 of them installed

Quote:
Sound Server information message:
Error While Initializing the sound driver
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null out put devcie
Under termial windows, I type #modprobe snd-intel8x0 ( My sound card ,which is AD 1985, intergrated into P4P800 mobo-chipset intel ICH5), the resonse message is Can't locate module snd-intel8x0 which also appears as kernel is running

#alsaconf --->can't recognize sound card + chipset
#alsamizer ---> function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device
