can't connect to internet

I have a dual boot, Windows 2k and Redhat 9.0. I switch back and forth every once and awhile. So after switching back to Redhat from 2k, I wasn't able to connect to the Internet. Can't connect to Gaim, browse the web, ping, etc. I get my ip from the school's Dhcp server fine. I checked the control center (using KDE) network interfaces info to see if there's an ip attached to eth0 and there is. Also when booting it takes a bit of time to 'OK' the 'Bringing up interface eth0'. I only have one NIC card in my machine, and it's a Linksys. Any ideas on how to fix my problem? Note I was able to browse the Internet in Redhat before this and I am still able to browse the Internet in Windows 2k when I switch over.

woohoo fixed it. ran 'netconfig' and ran 'service network --full-restart'
