can't change my mac adress or keep changes in resolv.conf (NM)


he guys i don't know if this is the best place to ask for this but i have issues with my kali linux network-manager
well the first is the fact that i can't connect to wifi after changing my mac address and second issues is that everything is back to default after i restart network-manager for exemple if i make changes in wifi settings or change my mac address if i restart the setting are back toi default and the mac address is bac kto default and also the default dns server in resolv.conf is back to the default one . i know just like this it may still look hard to understand if you need any additional informations i would be happy to prouvide with more detail . i have the kali linux up to date also i don't know if this is gonna help you but i shared pictures here https://linustechtips.com/main/topic...twork-manager/ really hope this forum helps me a little

If you want to change your mac address permanently, then follow this tutorial: http://www.hacking-tutorial.com/tips...on-kali-linux/

On Kali Linux I suppose there's no other way than than to use a start-up script. I'm not sure what macchanger does, but it's probably similar to what ifconfig hw does - which is not persistent.

Change your mac, then reset your network service - it should work, as long as there aren't any mac-based restrictions.
