Can't access external server from local network

I have a server running RH 9. It is connected to a hub along with a Linksys router that is connected to the same hub. They each have different assigned IP addresses. I am able to access the site from any computer that is not in the local network. When I do try and access it from within the local network I just get a "page cannot be displayed" error. I have asked some friends to check it out, they all said it worked fine. I have even taken one of my computers off of the local network and assigned it a separate IP address and I was able to access it.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks,

Are you accessing it with your private or public IP address?

What error message is it that you getting - is it a connection refused message?

What are the IP addresses in the local LAN?
What is the IP address when you take the computer off the local lan (and presumably put it on some other lan)?
What are the gateway IP address setting in both situations?
What is the IP address of the site you are trying to reach?
What happens when you ping that IP address?
What is the address of the LinkSys router/hub both internal and external?

Sounds to me like the address translation is not configured correctly, or the machines in the local lan are not configured correctly to use the address translation.

The IP addresses in the local LAN are 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.105.
The IP of the computer when I take it off of the local LAN is 65.66.244.226.
The gateway IPs are both the same 65.66.244.230.
The IP of the site is 65.66.244.227.
When I ping "Request timed out."
Internal the router is 192.168.1.1. External the router is 65.66.244.225(I have tried changing the external.)

I am not getting a connection refused error.

Thanks,
