"broken pipe" with FTP
 
well one day I just couldn't upload files to my ftp server. I tired with some software and it creates the fiel but it transfers 0 bytes! ahh!!
I went on linux and tried to upload using GFTP or w/e that is on Gnome and it gave me the message that there was a "broken pipe"
what happened? please help!

Broken pipe usually means (at least for me), that you are being disconnected from the server. Make sure the server is running, and check the server's error logs to see if it is reporting anything in the case that it was running.

well on Feb 8th which is about the time it went down theres this IP and it says "geet /script/..%c1%1c../winnt/system32/cmd.exe?/c+dir HTTP/1.0" 404 304

it says that like 200 times

It says that in your ftp server log file? That looks like a windows web server exploit to me... Are you sure you're looking at the right log?

That's a pretty good possiblity. If there hard drive runs out of space, then server disconnects you if you try to upload.
