Broken pipe error when sending data on LAN

Hi all,
Here is the deal : i am using the following script to create a .tgz file from my server in Orange zone ( 192.168.2.2 ) and send it via smbclient to a pc on the green zone ( 192.168.0.x ).

Quote:
/bin/tar --directory / --create home/mine --file=- | gzip | ( echo put - save0903.tgz; cat ) | smbclient "//192.168.0.8/PIERRESSERVR" "xxxxxxxx" -U "xxxx" &>/dev/null
Problem :
When executing this script; i always have a Broken pipe error :
Quote:
Broken pipe cat
Questions :
1. I presume i have to create a DMZ pinhole to copy datas in the green zone. Which ports do i have to authorize ?
2. I've read that Broken pipe is due to an action which finished before another, so general action cannot be ended properly. Could you please help me understanding what's wrong in this script ?
3. Script is executed manually through a SSH connection : Could it be the cause ?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Pierre

After investigating, it seems both pc had the same network name.
I've updated it and managed to copy a file to this pc with this command.

GAUTAMA is now the name of the pc i want the file to be copied.
IP of this pc is 192.168.0.8
PIERRESSERVR is the name of the share
File is sserver01.tgz and is actually in pc inthe orange zone 192.
168.2.2
Quote:
cat sserver01.tgz | smbclient "//GAUTAMA/PIERRESSERVR" "password" -U "username" -I "192.168.0.8"
The only thing i've got is tons of things like this :
Quote:
smb: \> L2(ȲJ▒pJ<ɧ(▒A: command not found
smb: \> Q: command not found
smb: \> =n\A_h6ހN
_z: command not found
smb: \> w܌8Se(,: command not found
smb: \> hlis8Qv%: command not found
smb: \> D(D׫F
?j: command not found
smb: \> [root@Sakyamuni linux]# 1;1;112;112;1;0x1;1;112;112;1;0x1;2c1;1;112;112;112;112;1;0x1;2c1;1;112;112;1;0x
What does that means ?
Regards,
Pierre
