I have recently installed Linux 9.0, making it internet server having 45-50 LAN users and more than 100 dial up usersand all are using Microsoft Window 98/XP. How do i broadcast the message over network to a particular n entire users having MS Window enviornment.
don't think there is a one time command to send broadcast message to all win32 client.
but i hope this may help
smbclient -M [machine name]
example: cat win32.list | xargs -i bash -c "echo pc is shutting down | smbclient -M {}"
win32.list is a list machine name(not ip)
