Bring Linux Administration under Novell NDS

Hi,
I'm looking for a method to link the administration of linux machines (Specifically, user administration) to the NDS tree. I would prefer an NDS object in the NDS tree that represents the linux machine.

I'm no Novell expert but i found something with an LDAP server. Can i link this with novell and synchronize users between LDAP and linux?

Install UNIX print services on the Novell box; this gives you NIS services.

Not sure which way the control goes, but worth a look.

I don't know if this is close to what you are looking for, but I believe that this is possible with eDirectory and Network Account Manager from Novell. Unfortunately, I don't know how the licensing cost for this play out versus a standard NDS type environment. I've heard from some people that it's considerably cheaper, but I can't confirm that.

eDirecotry is just that what you need i think.
After installing eDirectory you can install your Linuxbox as Server in an existing tree ..
It will install ConsoleOne also on Linux.

And: At this time you can get a free 250'000-User-License direct from Novell..
