Bridging 2 LANs / Streaming Audio through Firewall
 

At work, we have 2 small peer-to-peer LANs each comprised of around 4 PCs. Because of hardware protocol issues, the 2 networks cannot be directly connected. Currently one Windows 2000 machine has three ethernet cards (one to a DSL modem and other 2 connect to the 2 LANs). This computer shares the DSL Internet connection to one of the LANs plus it streams audio on demand using Windows Media Encoder.

I would like to reconfigure the networks around a Linux box in place of the Windows 2000 streaming computer. Here are my GOALS:
--Share DSL Internet connection to both LANs
--Bridge the 2 LANs so PCs on one LAN can access shared resources on the other LAN
--Provide a strong firewall between Internet and internal network
--FTP server
--Web server
--SSH support for remote administration
--Allow the Windows 2000 PC to continue streaming audio on demand through the shared DSL Internet connection

I already have enough ethernet cards available for this project. The computer that I have available to be used for the Linux “proxy” is a K6-133 with 128 MB Ram.

1.) Is it possible to achieve my goals?
2.) Are there some problems that I will probably encounter during the transition?
3.) What software packages will I need?
4.) Which distribution(s) would be well suited for my needs?
