Bridge vpnc tunnel to local network.
My skill level:
The goal is to build a PC that can be plugged into and DSL or Cable on one side, then into a switch on the other. It will boot up, pull a DHCP address on the DSL side, then tunnel into the Cisco VPN. Once that is done, it would bridge that tunnel to the switched side. It would relay (bridge) the DHCP packets and NOT create a NAT. Is this something that is possible? I have seen a couple of configurations (using even a Linksys with WRT on it), but all of them appear to create a NAT, and that would not be a working solution for us. I tried doing a bridge with the tun0-00 device that shows up, but it gives and error something to the lines of "device not found". Thanks! All comments welcomed! |
Ok, still looking around, and it looks like I need to bing to a "tap" device. But I don't list one, still looking on how to create one...
