Boot looping on DHCP Request

Hello all,

I am trying to configure MontaVista Linux on a virtual platform. However, the boot process just loops on DHCP requests. The messages are posted below, I have no idea as to why is this happening.

Code:
eth0: link up
Sending DHCP requests .....<6>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
. timed out!
IP-Config: Reopening network devices...
eth0: link up
