Hello,
I can not get my nic started. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is what I'm using:
Mother board:
PCchips M810LMR v7.1 Athlon with SIS900 on board.
Distro:
Redhat 7.0

Boot log Error Messages:

Redhat 7.0? That's likely to be the problem. Why not at least 7.3? Better shot at seeing the hardware is RH 9 if you want to stay with RH.

Hi Charles,
Upgrading is a big project with no guarantee. I was hoping I could just upgrade a config file or driver first.

Sorry to say that Redhat 7.0 most probably is your problem... as to why i would also like to know (i'm thinking drivers). Redhat 9 will almost definitely work without hitch.

i have two identical PC's, one running redhat 9 (that works fine with the onboard sis900), the other running 7.1 (for software backward compatibility). the 7.1 machine has exactly the problem you described. if you have since found a way to get around this, i would love to hear about it....
