Bonding (trunking) two NIC's fail


I've finished installing the RPM source for the "bonding" driver and verified that the binary does exist in the /lib/modules/<kernel_version>/kernel/drivers/net directory as described at: (can't port the URL, yet)

However, when the network service is restart (or init 6), I get the following error:
bonding.o: couldn't find the kernel version the module was compiled for

I've attempted "insmod bonding", I ge the same message above.

Any help appreciated.
