BMC incsi: error creating mux tulip0 (URGENT HELP REQUIRED) SERVER PLATFORM

Ported tulip code from previous version of board which had NC-SI path from BMC to NIC directly, now in the new board it detours through PCH.
i.e BMC->PCH (NC-SI connection)
PCH->NIC (PCIe Bus)

For now I am retrieving the mac address as 00:00:00:00:00:00 with error in incsi

incsi: error creating mux tulip0

What would be possible approaches to solve this issue?

Debugging it showed the error was # -99 ( bad address ), poked in various parts of the code with no successful result.

An experienced advice would be more effective instead of me shooting in the dark.(me: newbie to development )
