Bluetooth Dialup Config Query

I have SuSE 9.2 Pro running on three machines, no problem. One is a laptop. I have a Sony Ericsson Z600 mobile phone that I used as a dial up modem with Win XP on this laptop, when away from home, via Bluetooth. I have a Belkin Bluetooth USB dongle attached to the laptop.
SuSE has installed the dongle and I can 'see' the phone and the services it offers. I've been trying for over a week now to set up dial up as I had in windows. I've searched online in books and these forums. Everything looks like it's set up ok so there must be something that I need to do, other than setting up the dial up ISP info, that will set this up.
I've tried all the terminal commands I've found. Here are some of the results

6 sent, 6 received, 0% loss

The last l2ping seems to indicate the phone and laptop are communicating.
I'm sure it's just my lack of Linux knowledge that's the problem, so any help will be appreciated.
I haven't tried any type of manual configuration as yet.

Thumbs down

I'm sorry that no one's at least had go at helping me, and the other people who've posted similar questions. They too all seem to have resulted in the same deafening silence.
Oh well, I'll keep trying myself. If I do get things working I'll help out those other newbies like me.
Not impressed! I doubt I'll come here again for help.
