block website


Sir

i am using squid in my office.

now i want to block accessing abc.com from ip 192.168.100.x

i mean this ip cant access abc.com

pls help me.

Go here http://www.squid-cache.org/ and read the documentation. There are lots of how-tos on the internet, which tell you how to do this, as well as many threads on this site.

There are so many sites where you actually get the answer straight away, but anycase .. here is some help ;-)

YOu need a line like the following in squid.conf

acl badsites dstdomain "/etc/squid/badsites.cfg"

then

http_access deny badsites

and then

http_access allow all


or whatever you specified as your lan


be sure to add all the sites in the file /etc/squid/badsites.cfg file
