Bittorent/MP3/Firewall No monitor Box
Hi there, I am fairly new to linux, but I have used redhat and ubuntu for short periods of time, and I was wondering if somebody could help me out looking for a new distro and software.
I am looking at changing my current network setup, due to suspicious download cap usage, so I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for software/hardware configuration.
Currently I have:
NB1300 router > Switch > 7 XP/2000 machines
I want:
NB1300 router > Linux Machine > Switch > XP/2000 machines
I want the Linux machine to do these things
1: Log the internet traffic of individual IP's on the network (MB downloaded not MB/s)
2: Play mp3s
3: run bittorrent, If it is possible I would also like the client to have DHT, Selectable downloading, and be as similar as possible to utorrent.
4: Do this all from a computer without a monitor, with a fairly easy GUI once it is finished and remotely with VNC.
I currently have a pII 266 and 64 MB ram to do this, but better parts are easily accessible.
So anybody have any ideas?
