Bind DNS Slave zone

Hi,

I have just started a second DNS server.
When I create a slave zone, giving the IP of the 'master'...I have no info.
There is no sync of the slave to the master.

Did I miss something?

Thanks

macadam

Did you add the appropriate lines to the master? allow-transfer { slave; }; Can be done per section or per domain.

Is there a firewall in between? If yes then you need to open port 53 (TCP/UDP) and add the line "query source port ... " to named.conf.

Check logs .. it will tell you everything.
