Bind 9 resolver?

One of my servers is running Slack 9.1 and a chrooted BIND 9. This server is authoriative for my domain, and it's working. My problem is that this BIND doesn't resolve nothing else but localhost. Any dig query to this bind returns me root.hints.
Does anybody have an ideea? Is it a matter of resolver libraries, and if it is how can I configure these?

Thanks in advance..

Sounds like your resolver isn't allowing recursive queries. It just gets the root hints and stops. There is a configuration setting for it somewhere.

Thanks man...
I had in named.conf

recursion no, changed to yes..and it's working :)

Be very careful what clients you allow recursion to, or people will start leeching off your resolver. You only want to allow all clients to access the zones that you're authoritative for. For all other zones, you want to restrict recursive queries to only your local network.
