Belkin F5D5020 on redhat9

I got myself an old laptop computer (Dell Latitude CP, P MMX 233) and wanted to try linux on it.

I bought a belkin PCMCIA ethernet card with it, and can't figure out how to make it work. I have instructions but no matter how i try I can't make it work.

I've tried with slackware 9.1 and debian 3 rl1 too, and i can't get those ping packets anywhere...

If someone could help me, and please have in mind me being very new to linux, i would be most grateful...

I'm kinda having the same problem. I have decided to try a network install of RedHat 9. I'm trying a net install because my laptop (HP Omnibook 800ct) doesn't have a CDROM. Anyway, I have the same Belkin f5d5020 NIC but when I try the boot flopies they don't seem to find the network card. I think they are getting the PCMCIA drivers right but no NIC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
