BBS server

hi everyone,

i wonder how i could set up a BBS (Buletin board system). i am using redhat 7.3. is there any need to install a new software?

Do you mean an old style ANSI bbs that people could telnet into? Or a blog like this one?

Either way requires installation and setup.

The ANSI style BBSes...you could search freshmeat.net, theres a few different ones.

As for a blog, you at least need a webserver installed first (which might have been included in your install), but then you need to setup something else...I don't know much about that part.

yeap, that's what i mean, the old style ANSI bbs.. which have the interative menu. i also interested in the second one but i think i better go for the old style first. well, thanks man... i'll came back if there is any problem. by the way, do you have any suggestion about which one is the best, because it could be little confusing for a newbie like me to crawling in the crowd at the freshmeat.
