bandwidth throttling


hi
i have this situation.
i have windows 2k3 server with xp work stations setup in a LAN.i have abt 50 m/c's.
i want to throttle bandwidth on 10 systems.
i have heard abt squid in linux, but im novice in linux.
i have linux ent 4.
cud any help how to make a separate setup for abt ten m/c's and throttle badwidth.
any help is greatly appriciated
