although i succedd using bandwidth limiting with cbq-script, ehmm do you heard any bandwidth limiting apps, lately i try bandwidth arbitrator
and some of bandwidth limiting project still ini beta or less than 1.0 version

is it possible using only one interface to limit the bandwidth (i tried but failed - and if i am using two interface i am succedd)

hey have you heard about mikrotik / StarOS - they sell some good router,bandwidtlimiting software (i bet not) have you used on your network environment ? (i need to to know the performance of the software) even this is not free OS, but they give some trial

hi can you please explain me how to limit the bandwidth by using cbq.init, im really new to it

Here is my scenario i have two interfaces connected to my linux box eth0 is connected to my Laptop and eth1 is connected to cable modem (internet) 64K

Eth0= 192.168.17.1
Eth1= 202.5.145.65


Now i want to limit my Laptop internet usage to be 3k for for everything , can any one please help me to make configuration file (/etc/sysconfig/cbq/) for this scenario
