backing up to network
 

i am going to re-install linux but i have some files on here that i need

i have a network attached storage device on the network and i have a unix server too

how do i move the files from my linux to one of those...for future reference i would liek to know how to do it with both of them

have you tried going into konqueror or nautilus and typing smb:/// and then just dragging and dropping once you are in the place you want.
