Automating things...

Hi,

Im looking to automate my fetchmail so it polls the mail server every hour for new mail. Now i guess the best place to do this would be in crontab.hourly but i have no idea on how to put an entry for fetchmail in there. Im sure many of you have done this so if someone could point me in the right direction.

Try to run with -d option. That will run fetchmail in daemon mode You must specify a numeric argument which is a polling interval in seconds, then fetchmail puts itself in background and runs forever, querying each specified host and then sleeping for the given polling interval.
