auto mount shares before login

I would like to be able to mount shares before system login.

What we want to set up is 2 servers running a database with the database file itself located on another server on the network(NAS). I am not sure if I should try samba to do this or what other methods that I might have available to do this. Both servers need to be able to read and write to the share. I would like this before login because if the power goes down and then back up the database server will start up but if there are no shares mounted then the database server can not work. We are working with SUSE 9 also. Thanks for your time

Edit /etc/fstab to add the shares so they are mounted at boot time and before anyone ever logs in. Regards.

if you are mounting to a network drive you will need to put an entry in your rc.local
