Authenticating on a win2k PDC with Active Directory and disk quotas

Hi all, I'm new here and I have a few questions to ask you, maybe someone can help me.

I need to configure a linux machine on a LAN that has a win2kserver PDC with AD. This linux box would serve as a file server using samba. I would need to configure disk usage quotas (on this linux box) for network users/groups (e.g. marketing, sales, IT, etc...) that authenticate on the PDC.

I've been googling on this topic for many days, but I haven't found anything useful, could somebody here help me?

Thanx

This link might be useful for you: http://optics.ph.unimelb.edu.au/help...IN_MEMBER.html. It shows how to join a Linux machine to a Windows domain. Basically, from what I understand from that page, the end result is, when you access a Samba share from a Windows machine, the Samba server will contact the PDC for authentication. Only drawback is you have to have local Linux accounts on the Linux machine to respresent the user in Linux. But I guess in your case you need local Linux accounts anyway so you can implement the disk quotas.

Hope this helps.
