Arch Linux 2009.2 FTP install working but Hard Disc install can't find Eth0?

Hi there, I'm a Slackware user firing off into other distros in the pursuit of learning!

I'm connecting this laptop to the internet via ethernet to another Laptop sharing a mobile broadband connection.

I've stuck in the Arch install CD and performed an FTP install with eth0 configured perfectly and automatically downloading everything and installing without a fuss (Max speed too).

Now, i've tried every possible option of CD install, FTP install, Copying the autoconfigured Network setup to my rc.conf etc..

Set up all config files as per install guide on their wiki...

The problem is that on boot, i get something like

eth0 cannot be found or is invalid

and then some (spelling? New error to me and i can't see it at the moment), SIOCDDRT cannot be found.

It seems strange that my network card functions perfectly from live CD but not after install...

Ifconfig -a just brings up "lo", no eth...

Edit: Solved, invalid grub entry
