apt-get behind firewall

Hi all,

I have so many problems in instaling debian.

First, I downloaded j2eesdk-1_4_01_2005Q1-linux.bin but when I did run the program I've got:

./j2eesdk-1_4_01_2005Q1-linux.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3:

In fact, I have already installed :
ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20
ii libc6-dev 2.3.2.ds1-20

Ok... So I've tried get java from blackdown but, apt-get doesn't work because I'm behind a firewall.

When, any request from applications (browser, ftp, etc) goes to firewall, it replies a Http authorization request. (In browser, it open a new Window to fill username and password). However, apt-get doesn't have that feature.

Using wget --http-user --http-passwd, I can "fill" this http authorization. But, in apt, I cannot see any method to do that. In apt.conf, I could use http-proxy, but I dont know what is the proxy-server or apt doesn't have support to "http authorization".

Regards,
Rodrigo

apt-get is the best

Hi

yes this option of authorisation of user name and password are enable in command apt.

1- Write the command:
#apt-setup
2-Choose your source from(http,ftp,Cd-rom,...).
3-And choose Address of source (Brazil,France,....) .
4-Next stape:
-if you have a connection directly to the internet don't write any address
in proxy setting .
-if you have a connection throught Proxy write the adress of your proxy
ex:http://192.168.100.1:8080
-if you have a connection throught Proxy with Username and password write
the adress of your proxy
ex:http://userassword@192.168.100.1:8080

try this......

Hi,

Thanx for attention,

Anyway... I've already tried this before.

First ... I dont even if there is a proxy server. So, I dont know the proxy name.
In other case, I cant use .netrc for wget command. But, using http-user and http-passwd is ok.
Another suggestion, please ?

Regards,
Rodrigo
